Lets talk health...
So one of the key components I think to being fashionable is being fit and healthy. We are in a world where body image is always under such mutilation and there are so many different ideas of what a body should look like. The way i see it, if you are healthy and you feel wonderful inside and out then you have the perfect body. Now ladies do not take that and run with it. I cannot stress how important it is to be healthy. Ive grown up my whole life around people with diabetes and cholestoral issues due to a background of middle eastern food that does not do the body good. I too let myself loose and gave up my fit and healthy body for a much more unhealthier one. Now, something many people dont and didnt know up until this very second is that i spent most of the last year on antidepressants which we all know can contribute a lot to that extra fat around the belly. I decided to throw them away and take into meditation, yoga, pilates and a different outtake of life. Our society is raised on having to take a pill for almost every little health issue and i say we revolutionize that. Who wants a generation growing up on synthetic cures. So i made a turn around several weeks ago when i decided i dont want to be unfit, or unhealthy and grow old with plenty health issues. I love myself, and the first thing i can treat myself with is my health and taking care of my body, filling my body with goods, letting junk out. Also providing positiveness for myself and breathing out negativity, because thats what health is all about. Being all around positive and feeling good. So I will be posting blogs every now and then about new discoveries for a healthy meal, healthy ways and also letting you guys take the journey with me back to health. Now i started this a little late, being almost a month into eating and thinking healthy, but better than never.
So tonight i was really craving pasta, and i was trying to come up with a way to make it and not regret taking in the carbs. So i grabbed what i had in the fridge that i thought would do. I grabbed spinach, grilled chicken strips, cilantro dressing [this was my first time ever trying this dressing, and i must say, i was pleased. at only 45 calories per serving which is 2 tblsps, its delicious!], tomatos, and feta cheese.
I threw the spinach and chicken in a pan and poured two tablespoons of the cilantro dressing onto it and let it cook for no more than 3-4 minutes. then i cut a veryyyyyy thin slic of feta cheese, half a tomato and bam! It was very delicious, fullfilling and guilt free!
To make it an even more fulfilling dinner, i cooked up some miso soup. Ladies, if you didnt know, miso soup is only 0 calories! cant beat that! I like some soup before my meal because it makes me eat less. and at 0 calories its perfect.
I can say im very pleased with my new discovery and i actually cant wait to make some again tom night for dinner again. And if you want some alcohol with that, grab a half-a glass of wine. Wine does the heart good!

Let me know if you decide to try this or what you think of it!
xoxo,
Aysan
